Well-known local individuals will don the red suit this year to give families a chance to capture memories with professional images by Bend’s Stott Shots Photography. While the kids are filling Santa’s ear with their hearts’ desires, parents can take turns at guessing which local ‘celebrity’ is Santa Claus. Santa Land is located between Allyson’s Kitchen and Greg’s Grill.

This magical mile-long holiday light exhibit lights up each evening with animated light displays that delight and amaze. During StarFest, the Inn at Eagle Crest offers visitors coffee, hot cocoa, and cookies along with a fireside story time with Mrs. Claus.
On weekends, a horse-drawn wagon provides rides for a modest fee. Reservations for StarFest wagon rides can be arranged through the Inn’s concierge. While StarFest is always popular with resort guests, a drive-through visit to see the light display with a stop off at the Inn has become a holiday tradition with many families in Central Oregon. |

We know Santa’s sleigh went rogue last month at Night Under the Covers, but we’re back. December's 1st Friday will feature local artists covering music from a wide range of Christmas Jams.
Artists/musicians, solos, duos, trios, full bands, all embraced and encouraged. If you’re interested in being a part of Santa Slam just comment below with the songs yo…u wish to cover and we’ll get you in the lineup. All sound, PA is provided. If you have sound questions contact Paul Linney.

A great tradition in Central Oregon! The Downtown Bend Holiday Tree Lighting. Spend the evening singing carols, listening to local choirs, music and dance groups. The festivities get under way at 6pm The big guy will be there to light the tree around 6:50pm so get there early to get a good spot! |

A living legacy from the pioneers who invented jazz, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band has toured the United States and the world for nearly five decades. The current line up of veterans is led by Ben Jaffe, son of Hall founder and performer Allan Jaffe. With gumbo-flavored holiday favorites, this joyful evening features the distinctive music and haunting images that define the spirit and style of New Orleans.

Hollywood hipsters Big Bad Voodoo Daddy turn yuletide classics like “Blue Christmas,” “Jingle Bells” and “We Three Kings” into a rollicking big band extravaganza! Throw in a few new songs of their own— “Zat You Santa Claus” and “Rock-A-Billy Christmas”—for a holiday show that’s cool enough to keep a snowman from melting. Due to the nature of this show, dancing is expected and may disrupt patron site line. Come early or get up and dance.

Every year Bend's most dedicated paddling enthusiasts dress up their canoes and kayaks in holiday garb and paddle around Mirror Pond for a few hours. This is one of those events that gets the whole town in the spirit and feels very authentic to Bend. |

The Bend Performing Arts Center (BendPAC) will play host to a brand-new holiday tradition beginning this December. Entitled “A Bend Christmas Celebration starring Michael John”, the Producers at BendPAC envision a truly old-fashioned Christmas experience perfect for the entire family.
The show will also feature a quartet of strolling carolers composed of some of Central Oregon’s most talented singers including Sherrie Neff, Steve Osterkamp, Glenn Swearingen, Sally Graeber and Storytelling featuring Chris Rennolds and Liam O’Sruitheain, including a special version of “The Gift of the Magi”

Concerts will feature sacred and popular holiday music performed by the 80-voice Cascade Chorale with a full orchestra. Music will include a Symphony of Carols and Gloria, selections from the suite “Many Moods of Christmas,” The Snow, Drummer Boy, and selections from Handel’s Messiah.” Director James W. Knox also welcomes back local artist and songwriter, Lindy Gravelle as featured soloist.
